Katia Lamer receives the 2027 AMS STAC Outstanding Early Career Award
The American Meteorological Society named Katia Lamer — scientist and director of the Center for Multiscale Applied Sensing at Brookhaven National Laboratory — recipient of its 2027 STAC Outstanding Early Career Award, on the recommendation of the AMS Committee on Boundary Layers and Turbulence. The citation honors her “for pioneering mobile multi-sensor observatories and transforming understanding of boundary-layer clouds and turbulence across the urban and natural environments.” She will be recognized at the 107th AMS Annual Meeting in Denver in January 2027.
